When the sky is on the ground

Every now and then, if the weather is good and the wind strong, we go to the beach.
While by boyfriend is busy kitesurfing, I take long walks and find small treasures buried in the sand.
What is interesting is that every time there is the season for something different. First the seashore was full of live clam-looking shells. An other time it was full of cuttlefish bones. Then it was big snail-shaped shells all over. But this time… it was starfish season!
I was walking down the beach when I saw a star shape in the sand. It looked as if a kid had played there with his plastic summer toys. Then I realised it was a starfish almost buried in the sand! I flipped it over and it was alive. it's legs were moving up and down!
I thought that if I just leave it there it will soon die, so after admiring it for a few seconds, I thought it back in the water. But after some steps there was an other! And an other!
I had a mission! I was the official starfish saviour of the day! I walked the long beach all the way and I returned all the starfish I found back in the sea. I even found one with four legs instead of five! I have never seen one like this before.
When I flipped them, they leave a star shape hole on the sand like this.
I'm proud to say I made more than 30 star shape holes on that beach today! :)
